Rain Gear

It's raining, it's pouring, and you have things to do in the garden. It can be real miserable to work in the cold and wet without the proper clothing. Some good raingear can help make a rainy day much more pleasant.

RUBBER BOOTS
Northerner
I have been wearing a pair like this whenever it's wet for over 5 years and they are holding up well.

RAINPANTS
Dutch Harbor Gear
This is my first season with these. They seem sturdy and are inexpensive. I picked mine up at Pacific Industrial Supply in Seattle.

These clothes will hold in a lot of your body heat so you probably won't need much under them. I wear layers in the winter to make temperature adjustment easier. Cold hands can be a problem in the winter wet. I have found that a pair of latex gloves under my regular work gloves can be helpful.
